Welcome

The Nottinghamshire Association of Local Councils is part of a national network representing Town and Parish Councils and Parish Meetings. The aim of the Association is to provide advice, information and support for members, training for clerks and councillors and to represent our members interests on a variety of bodies across the county.

We hope that this web-site will be a source of information for our members, non-members and the general public who may wish to know more about Parish and Town Councils in Nottinghamshire.

We are based at Minster Chambers in Southwell (see the Contact page for full details and a map of our location).

The Role of the Parish Clerk

Would you like to make a difference in the local community? Would you like to support and assist in the decision making process that affects people living in the local community? Are you committed and enthusiastic about protecting the environment, the countryside and rural communities?

If these things appeal to you and you feel you would like to make a difference then you may wish to consider taking on the role of Parish Clerk. There are numerous vacancies across the county and likely one near you.

If you are interested please click on the following link for more information or select the "Being a Parish Clerk" tab at the top of the page and keep an eye out on the Jobs page of this website for the latest vacancies.
